Pro: A member of the Super XX champion Chicago Bears in 1985, he was claimed by the Bucs one day after final 1986 roster cut down … played in 14 games for Tampa Bay, missing last two on injured reserve with abdominal muscle pull …used primarily as fourth lineman, he finished the season with 18 tackles, seven quarterback pressures, and one fumble caused … had two sacks and a blocked field goal in 1985.

College: Three-year all-SEC player at Mississippi State … appeared in 1981 Senior Bowl … earned degree in Physical Education.

Personal: Mississippi co-defensive high school player of the year along with Hugh Green … played for Jackson (MS) Callaway High School … substitute teacher at Tampa’s Leto High School this offseason … uncle, Lee Calhoun, won Gold Medals at hurdler in 1956 and 1960 Olympics … he and his wife, Bessie Ruth, have a daughter, Chyla (3) … given name is Tyrone P.
